East Midlands Airport is well connected with excellent road links via the M1 motorway near junction J24 and A453.
If you are travelling along the M1 take come off at junction 23a and follow the A453 sign posted for the airport. If you are using a satellite navigation system the area post code is DE74 2SA.
Delivery and Return Pick-Up
Please expect the pickup the motorhome after 4p.m. on the start of hire day, and return it before 10.a.m. on the end of hire day. Please give yourself plenty of time to arrive at the airport for the vehicle handover.
Handover Process
When you arrive at the airport the Motorhome Group member will meet you in the arrivals lounge, unless you arrange something different. The member will take you to the nearby motorhome and provide you with a 45 minute long demonstration. During the demonstration you will be told how to use the vehicles facilities such as shower, toilet and change the gas bottles for example. The whole demonstration will be conducted in English. We recommend that if English is not your first language please arrange for one of the your party who speaks English to act as an interpreter for the rest of the group. The hirer will sign for the vehicle and begin the hire following a successful handover demonstration.
The vehicle at the start of the hire will have a full fuel tank, one full and one partially full propane gas bottle and a full water tank. The toilet cassette will be clean and empty.
Return Handover
On your return to the airport at the end of your hire, please allow extra time to complete the return handover procedure. During which the member will inspect the vehicle for hire damage. You should return the vehicle in the same condition and the same quantities of fuel and gas with an empty toilet cassette. Please see our terms and conditions for likely penalty charges if this is not the case.
Do not forget to allow extra time to travel from the handover location to the Nottingham East Midlands airport departures terminal.
Airport Handover Location
Due to heightened East Midlands Airport Security the vehicle handover cannot take place outside at the arrivals lounge but at a nearby service station.
