Reasonable Pickup and Return times

Please be considerate and try and plan the vehicle pickup and drop for normal office hours. We recommend you arrange to pickup before 4pm and return the vehicle before 10am on the return hire date.

Handover times

Always allow 40 minutes for a handover, both for collection and return of the motorhome. During the motorhome pick-up handover you will be shown how to use the motorhome such tasks as changing the toilet cassette and gas bottle changing. When you return the motorhome it will be checked over to ensure that everything is in good condition and fuel tanks are at the same levels as when taken out.

Leeds-Bradford Airport Information

LBIA was opened as Yeadon Aerodrome in 1931. It was 60 acres of grassland along side the Bradford to Harrogate Road. Club flying and training was done in Cirrus, Gypsy Moth and later Puss and Leopard Moth's.

In 1935 the airport was extended to 95 acres and had scheduled flights to Newcastle, Edinburgh with North Eastern Airways. The West Coast Air Service offered services to Blackpool and the Isle of Man.

With the outbreak of war in 1939, the adjacent Avro Factory built, Avro 652 Anson - coastal patrol reconnaissance aircraft, the Dam Buster's Lancaster Bomber, York and Avro Type 694 Lincoln aircraft.

After the war BKS Air Transport offered flights to Belfast, Jersey, Ostend, Southend and the Isle of Wight. In 1955 Düsseldorf was added. By the 1960s the airport had been developed with improves facilities. Aer Lingus started operating services to Dublin in 1960.

In 1976 tour operators such as Thomson Holidays using British Airways offered flights to the Iberian Peninsula.
